Why I love breeding

There are plenty of things that bring me joy in this world: watching my son grow, spending time with family and friends, cooking, etc. On my long list of joyous items, breeding would be in the top 3. This may sound outlandish to most breeders because there is a lot of responsibility, stress, sleepless nights, tears, and care giving in breeding dogs. These components are amplified when you are breeding bulldogs. Due to their genetics, it takes more planning and effort than most other breeds. Bulldog breeding often requires artificial insemination and a C-section.

Most would look at the requirements for breeding bulldogs and run for the hills. Not me! I see the work and appreciate it because of the end result: a quality family member. In breeding, quality should be and always is a priority for responsible breeders. If a person is looking to add a purebred dog to their family, they should be confident that they are receiving the best traits that the breed has to offer. My joy in this process comes from producing a puppy that will fill your family with love. The joy that people feel from acquiring one of our productions makes me so happy. That's why I do it. That's why I love dog breeding.
